Meet the Women's Philanthropy Board: Britney Ewing

Each week we will be introducing you to one of our Federation Women's Philanthropy Board Members.

This week, we wish to introduce you to:

Britney Ewing

Britney Ewing was raised in San Diego, CA but moved away for college and to pursue her career, then returned home to settle down with her husband, Jeff, and raise their two children, Lindsey and Matthew.   Her family are members at Congregation Beth Israel, the synagogue she herself grew up attending.

Britney worked in corporate retail and outside sales for 15 years prior to becoming a full-time mom.  When her children were in early elementary school, she did most of her volunteer work within her children’s schools, fundraising for the PTA and foundation.  Additionally, she did special project work for Jewish Family Services.

Britney has been on the Women’s Philanthropy Board of Jewish Federation for 4 years.  Her responsibilities on the board have included working on the social action committee and this past year, co-chairing the 2016 Seder matching program and Pomegranate event.  In addition, Britney manages the communications and social media for the board.

Britney was inspired to join the Women’s Philanthropy Board after her participation in Jewish Federation’s “Heart to Heart” mission to Israel in 2012.  On that trip, she witnessed first hand several of the important programs federation supports and she engaged with many amazing women from San Diego who are passionate about Jewish philanthropy.
