Our Mission
Inspired by Jewish values, we broaden and deepen engagement in Jewish life to strengthen Jewish identity, foster dynamic connections with Israel, and care for all Jews in need. We mobilize our community’s resources, leaders, and organizations to address the community’s most critical needs, creating profound impact locally, in Israel, and around the world.
Our Work
At Jewish Federation of San Diego, we focus our efforts on four mission-aligned priorities: caring for Jews in need, building a vibrant Jewish future, connecting with Israel and global Jewry, and creating a resilient and secure Jewish community.
Through these priorities, we address the needs of the most vulnerable in the Jewish community; provide training and development for future Jewish leaders; create opportunities for teens and young adults to deepen their Jewish identity; support Holocaust education and engage local Survivors; build people-to-people connections with Jews in Israel and across the world; invest in increased security for all local Jewish institutions; and so much more.
Our Federation also plays a vital convening role in bringing partners, supporters, and stakeholders together to address the most pressing challenges facing our local and global Jewish communities – from rising antisemitism to Jewish poverty and teen resiliency. We know that Jewish life flourishes most when we work together.
