A major component of the Shabbat San Diego experience are the Shabbat Dinners.  There are several options for Shabbat dinners: at congregations, communal dinners, and Shabbat dinners at private homes.

We encourage those that are open to hosting a Shabbat dinner at their home to register online for it.  You can elect to just have friends and family or have guests requesting to be hosted at a private home dinner on our website. Our team will be matching hosts and those wanting to be hosted based on details provided on the website.

As a token of gratitude, all those that register online to host will receive a Shabbat San Diego Challah cover, a Shabbat at home kit with information on the prayers, songs, and recipes, and entry into a raffle for some exciting prizes.  All you need to do is register online and complete the hosting section.

Providing meaningful Shabbat experiences is critical to the success of Shabbat San Diego. We want every household in the county not already participating in a communal dinner, to participate in a private home dinner.
