Lori Polin Joins National Women's Philanthropy Board

San Diego Federation leader, 2018 Kipnis-Wilson/Friedland recipient, and proud Lion of Judah Lori Polin, has been selected to join Jewish Federation of North America’s National Women’s Philanthropy Board (NWP). NWP celebrates female Jewish leaders from across the Federation system. Nominated by their communities, NWP Board Members undergo a rigorous competitive selection process. More than 150 women from more than five dozen federations comprise the NWP Board. Each board member assumes a major role within her community and makes a generous annual campaign gift.

During the past 35+ years, Lori has impacted the Jewish world both locally and globally. A New York native, she was active in the United Synagogue Youth movement and developed a love of Israel and a strong connection to her Jewish heritage at an early age. Lori has been an active force in Women’s Philanthropy, and served as Federation’s Campaign Chair, Major Gifts Chair, 2018 OPTIONS co-chair (the most widely-attended event by Jewish women in San Diego), and recently graduated from the Pauline Foster Women’s Philanthropy Leadership Institute. Lori has also attended multiple FRD missions and currently serves as Lion of Judah Engagement co-chair.

Lori’s leadership extends throughout the San Diego Jewish community, including important roles at the Jewish Community Center, Jewish Family Service, and Seacrest Village

“I strongly believe in community and taking care of Jews less fortunate then me,” she says. “I feel that Federation has afforded me the opportunity to do both of these things.”

We are grateful for Lori’s dynamic leadership and wish her the best in this exciting new endeavor.
