NextGen Welcomes Newcomers to Jewish San Diego

On Sunday, January 7th, NextGen welcomed 60 newcomers to the community at a beautiful private residence in Rancho Santa Fe. With a strong vision from Newcomer Co-Chairs, Rayna Karoll, Chelsea Winer, and Greg Kravit, participants enjoyed learning about NextGen’s Thirdspace program, while mingling and discussing ways to get involved in Jewish San Diego.

“The newcomers brunch was a great experience! This was my first newcomers event and I am already looking forward to the next one. The brunch location was great, and the turnout was very impressive. I met a ton of new people and caught up with some old friends who wanted to reintegrate into the community. The whole event was really well organized and the San Diego Jewish community is very welcoming. I often hear that people are hesitant to go to events solo, but there's nothing to worry about as you will hit it off and integrate very quickly...and the activities really help with introductions, the two truths and a lie name tags really broke the ice.” Andres Geurts-Barreto

Do you know someone between the ages of 21 to 40 who is new to San Diego or is looking to get more involved? Please contact Janese Cassel to learn more and connect.
