Federation is excited to announce a new way to give – DONOR DIRECTED PHILANTHROPY!

Now you have the ability to direct your donation to what you care about most.

For 80 years, Federation served as the umbrella organization for our Jewish community. We funneled funds and grants to many different Jewish organizations and beneficiaries. Today, things are different.

We listened to you, our community, and understand that you want to give to projects that inspire you personally.

With the new Federation, you have the ability to direct your gifts to any of our new and essential programs:

Caring for San Diego’s seniors

Directing your gift to programs like Federation’s Aging in Community Initiative ensures that our community’s valued seniors can age with dignity and independence.

Engaging local Jewish teens

The Community Teen Initiative connects Jewish teens to local service opportunities when they learn first-hand the value of tikkun olam - repairing the world.

Building an inclusive community

The Shalom San Diego Initiative seeks to connect new residents, interfaith families, and unaffiliated Jews to Jewish life in San Diego.

Connecting the Next Generation

When you support Federation’s NextGen work, you help Jewish young adults find meaning and build relationships in all facets of life, from professional to religious to cultural and communal.   

Fostering connections with Israel

You help build local community connections to Israel, fund and help implement designated projects when you support Israel Connections.

Save Jewish Lives Overseas

Provide life-sustaining humanitarian aid around the world in places as diverse as the Former Soviet Union, France, and Ethiopia.
