Rebecka Handler is excited to fuse her passions for service learning, Judaism, and relationship building with the San Diego Jewish Teen Initiative.

Prior to joining the Teen Initiative, Rebecka worked for JDC (one of our global partners) Entwine where she supported the organization’s efforts to connect and support global networks of Jewish young adults, specifically in  New York, Washington DC, and Boston.

Rebecka has traveled with JDC Entwine to visit the Jewish communities of Hungary, Romania, Greece, Bulgaria, Argentina, Ukraine, and Morocco. She started her career by working for BBYO, an organization that she has been involved with throughout her teen and adult years.

Rebecka holds a B.A. from Pennsylvania State University in Rehabilitation and Human Services. Rebecka is an avid traveler, can be found cheering on the Memphis Grizzlies, and enjoys trying out the latest food and fitness trends.
