Strong San Diego Presence at the 2017 General Assembly

Led by Andrea Feinswog, a cohort of 38 enthusiastic community leaders and staff members made their way to Los Angeles on November 2 to attend the 2017 General Assembly (GA). The GA brings together Federation volunteer leaders and professionals from across the continent, and those engaged in the business of Jewish philanthropy from around the globe.

Participants were moved by the power of community and enjoyed connecting with thousands of like-minded Jews. With surfboard signs and ruach to spare, our San Diego presence was a force, and a reminder that together, we can do extraordinary things.

In addition to several powerful breakout sessions, a highlight for many was hearing President Reuven Rivlin’s keynote speech. Opening with a rendition of Hinei Ma Tov, President Rivlin was incredibly appreciative of Federation's role in supporting a thriving Israel. “We are all part of the unbreakable bond between Israel and the United States,” he said.
