One Happy Camper

Jewish summer camp is a proven way to inspire Jewish values and culture in the next generation. The magic of camp’s communal environment allows young people to engage in Judaism 24/7 and builds a strong sense of identity, belonging, and connection to our Jewish community. For more than five years, Jewish Federation of San Diego County has partnered with the Foundation for Jewish Camp (FJC) to provide more than 600 children and teens with the experience of Jewish overnight camp thanks to the One Happy Camper incentive grant.

Birthright Israel

Since 1999, Taglit-Brighright Israel has been giving Jews living in the Diaspora the chance to experience Israel with the gift of a free 10-day trip. Taglit-Birthright Israel was founded on the belief that every Jew should have the chance to visit their ancestral homeland, and an opportunity to create bonds with the land and people of Israel. The program connects Jewish young adults with Israel, and provides an incredible way to explore or strengthen Jewish identity.

Each trip is absolutely FREE with no strings attached! The Taglit-Birthright Israel gift covers round-trip airfare plus ten days of accommodations and unique travel programming in Israel.

When you donate to Federation, you make life-changing trips for these young adults possible

Winter is Coming: JDC’s Winter Relief in Ukraine

For poor Jews living in war torn Ukraine, winter means living in freezing temperatures without heat or warm clothing.

Federation and our partners at the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC), are committed to helping Jews in need – many of whom were forced out of their homes when the conflict erupted.

Your $18 donation ensures they receive warm clothing, food deliveries, live saving medications, and critical financial assistance for paying heating and utility bills.
