Dinner in White: Shavuot Dine and Dish about "The Jewish Meal"

Learn with Chaya Gilboa over a unique meal in an intimate setting for Shavuot. Jews often observe Shavuot with an ancient custom of staying up to learn Torah throughout the night. We will celebrate learning, and specifically the Jewish Meal, at this soirée in white!

Chaya will deconstruct rich and varied stories about meals as they are are depicted in the Jewish tradition. We will examine descriptions of meals with literary, anthropological, historical, and psychological instruments.

Wearing white clothing is a tradition on Shavuot. It symbolizes the purity and cleanliness of the Jews when they received the Torah and recalls "wedding" between the Jewish people and the Torah. Dine in white with us!
