Jews of Color: a Renaissance is the latest project by Scattered Among the Nations. The project features 10 large canvases by Oakland painter Sam Renaissance, paired with the Jews of Color photographs that inspired them. Each portrait makes us reframe the question of diversity, challenging stereotypes both of Jews and of communities of color.
