Enjoy learning tunes and Yiddish klezmer terminology from Yale Strom's Ethnographic Research in Eastern Europe, which he conducted among the Jewish and Roma klezmer musicians in the 1980s and 90s.

Instructor: Yale Strom. Yale is one of the leading scholars on the history and culture of klezmer music. He has been researching the music in Eastern Europe for over 30 years. His band Hot Pstromi has many recordings and much of their repertoire comes from the tunes Strom learned from the Roma and Jewish musicians he met. He is currently a professor and artist-in-residence at San Diego State University. Strom is also a filmmaker, writer, photographer, composer, and playwright as well as klezmer violinist.
