About the survey

In July 2025, Jewish Federation of San Diego invited the leaders of every San Diego Jewish organization to share how communal life has changed since October 7, 2023. Synagogues and Chabads, schools, camps, advocacy groups, foundations and social service providers took part.

The survey builds on the 2022 Jewish Community Study, A Blueprint for Our Future, and asks how organizations have used it.

Seven sections

  • Organizational engagement and program interest
  • Connection and community
  • Safety and wellbeing
  • Antisemitism and its impact
  • Engagement around Israel and the conflict
  • Use of the Blueprint for Our Future
  • Vision and future outlook

Use the data. Build the next study with us.

Federation’s research is a community resource. We share findings with leaders and decision-makers, and we collaborate with partners on new research.

Request data: findings for your board, planning, or grant. Collaborate: co-design a new community study.
