Pricing, Payment Schedules, and Insurance

 

Price:

 

The Land Only Cost is $3,999 per person for double occupancy. There is an additional Cost of $1,600 for single occupancy.  This includes five-star accommodations, most meals, festive dinners, all mega events, transportation in air-conditioned motor coaches with top Israeli tour guides, taxes and transfers.

 

Jewish Federation of San Diego County is providing a substantial subsidy for members of our Jewish community between the ages of 25-45. The total subsidized land cost for those receiving this subsidy will be $2999. If you feel you do not need the subsidy, and instead choose to make those funds available so that others can participate, during the registration process, you will have the option to decline the subsidy, which will enable us to deploy those resources. You can choose to opt-out and pay the full CommUNITY trip cost of $3,999, to maximize our impact in the community.

 

Payment Schedule:

 

  • Deposit of $500 is due as part of initial registration 

  • 50% of the mission cost is due November 30, 2022

  • Full payment is due February 28, 2023

 

Cancellation Policy:

 

  • Participants cancelling their registration up to February 1, 2023: 75% refund of total mission cost

  • Participants cancelling their registration up to April 1, 2023: 50% refund of total mission cost

  • No refund will be issued for cancellations made on or after April 1, 2023 

  • Deposit is nonrefundable as of August 1, 2022

 

Trip Insurance:

 

Jewish Federation of San Diego County highly recommends that all trip participants review their own personal insurance coverage needs with their insurance advisors to determine if additional travel insurance is required. 
 
Jewish Federation of San Diego County does not currently, and will not in the future, provide any medical insurance coverage while on the trip. Any medical insurance coverage desired must be purchased for the trip on your own. 
 
Jewish Federation of San Diego County does not provide trip cancellation insurance for trip participants and any such coverage must be purchased for the trip on your own. Additional travel insurance could cover items such as reimbursement for trip delay, missed connections, sickness and/or accident medical expenses, lost baggage, personal effects, baggage delay, etc.

COVID Disclaimer: 

 

We will be following all CDC recommendations leading up to and during the CommUNITY Trip. Participants will comply with the State of Israel requirements for entry and departure at the time of the trip. Closer to the date of departure, Jewish Federation of San Diego County will provide participants with up-to-date regulations surrounding Israel and airline policies regarding COVID/vaccines.

 

Testing positive for COVID-19 in Israel isolation of confirmed COVID-19 cases

  • Anyone who tested positive on a COVID-19 test - whether a PCR test or a supervised rapid (antigen) test - is required to go into isolation, irrespective of vaccination status, unless they have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and recovered in the previous 90 days.

  • Participants are responsible for any additional costs related to their isolation.

  • Federation will make sure you receive three meals per day and medicine for treatment of COVID-19 as needed.

 

Isolation Duration: You are required to stay in isolation for at least 5 days (the day of the first positive test is day zero of isolation).

  • If you fever-free and improving, isolation may be ended at day 5, remaining masked until day 10

  • For mild to moderate symptoms, isolations may be ended when you are fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication and your symptoms are improving. You must wear a high-quality mask when indoors and avoid being around people who are more likely to get very sick from COVID-19 until day 10.

 

Participants sharing a room with someone testing positive

  • Will be moved to a separate room from the participant in isolation at the expense of the participant.

  • Will be required to wear a high-quality mask when around others indoors until day 11

  • Will need to be tested for COVID-19 if fever, cough, or other symptoms of COVID-19 develop.
