On Wednesday night, more than 1,100 men united for a night of food and philanthropy at the Jewish Federation of San Diego County’s annual Men’s Event at the Del Mar Fair Grounds.

The event, generously underwritten by The Mizel Family Foundation, featured guest speaker Lt. Gen. Benny Gantz, the former Chief of General Staff of the IDF. Gantz delivered an inspiring speech about the current state of Israel and what American Jews can do to support the Jewish State, especially those of the younger generation who will carry the banner towards a peaceful, prosperous Israel.

Attendees also had a chance to learn about Federation’s work, not only in Israel, but here in San Diego, and around the world. Men’s Event attendees had a chance to direct their donations to their passions, whether it be fostering connections with Israel, caring for San Diego seniors, building an inclusive community, engaging local Jewish teens, connecting the Next Generation, or taking care of Jews around the world - in the new Federation – people give to their passions.

An impassioned speech by Federation Board Chair Brian Tauber touted how Federation and our partners are working to make sure no Jewish person is alone – from El Cajon to Kiev.

Thanks to your generosity, Federation and its supporters send a powerful message and much needed help to Jews around the world - letting them know that the global Jewish community is standing with them and they are never alone.
