Last weekend, the Jewish Federation of San Diego County hosted its annual OPTIONS - The Women's Event, with more than 1,050 women from our amazing Jewish community in attendance.

The event featured a fireside chat with our special guests Lisa Loeb, Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter, Janet Gurwitch, Founder and Former CEO of Laura Mercier Cosmetics, and Tracy Borkum, Principal of Urban Kitchen Group - three amazing women who overcame countless obstacles to become powerhouses in their industries.

The women discussed their drive, passion, and how their Jewish identity plays such a powerful role in their success and everyday lives. The discussion was lively and inspiring, reminding everyone in attendance just how meaningful and powerful it is to be a strong Jewish woman.

We're also proud to share that our San Diego women generously donated more than 375 toys to Friendship Circle San Diego, which provides resources for children with special needs.  These toys will make Chanukah bright for so many children is San Diego!

Attendees also learned about the critical work Federation is doing through Shalom San Diego, a Federation initiative that that is helping families connect to our community through programs such as Shalom Baby and the PJ Library, and helps us reach out to interfaith and unengaged Jews across San Diego County to connect them with our vibrant Jewish community.
