Breakfast Club - Aging with Dignity, Purpose, and Meaning

The Jewish Federation of San Diego County is happy to announce the next Breakfast Club event, Aging with Dignity, Purpose, and Meaning. Breakfast Club is open to all and offers important, intriguing topics about our community and encourages networking and connection.

On Tuesday, May 21, please join us for a fulfilling and informative morning of connection and conversation as we discuss supporting our loved ones (and ourselves) to age with independence and dignity—mind, body, and soul. Our special guest panel will include:

  • Dara Schwartz, Clinical Psychologist & Program Developer, Sharp Mesa Vista Outpatient Programming
  • Colleen Cook, MSW, ACSW, and Jewish Family Service Aging Specialist
  • Marisa Rosenberg, Director of Lee and Frank Goldberg Residence Court and Campus Life Enrichment at Seacrest Village Retirement Communities
  • Michal Sharon, a participant of the Jewish Federation’s Shinshinim program, who will speak about the importance of connecting youth with senior communities

Our panelists will share their unique perspectives on a variety of topics highlighting:

  • Preserving and protecting mental acuity
  • Maintaining physical health and wellness
  • Combating anxiety and depression around aging
  • Supporting a parent or grandparent who is facing the challenges of aging
  • Discovering how the San Diego Jewish community supports seniors

This event will be held at the Jewish Federation of San Diego County’s headquarters. Complimentary parking is available in the lot and on the street. For more information, please contact Janelle Hickey, Development Manager, at 858-737-7146 or email at janelleh@jewishinsandiego.org
